Creators

Javier Saltares -David's Mighty Men creator
Javier has a long history as a proffessional artist for both DC and MARVEL, and is currently on the new GI JOE series. His penciling reminds me of both Joe Madureira's work on Battle Chasers and Bone's Jeff Smith. I think he may be writing DMM as well? Definitely a big fish in a small pond. www.dmmcomics.com

Lisa Hutchinson -Shelter of Wings creator
Mother of three, (former?) preschool teacher, and self proffessed non-manga-fan, Lisa is putting out the one of the most engaging stories in this scene with Shelter of Wings, which is, coincidentally, a manga. One of the few creators who is dominating in both writing and drawing, Lisa is one to watch. Her work has recently been picked up my Makar who may be able to lock her into widespread distribution. www.shelterofwings.com

Psycho Ann -Psychoteers creator
20 year old writer/artist for Psychoteers, Hu-Ann Mulia has a more traditional manga style. Her sort-of-autobiographical look at the lives of a group of teen Christian girls in Indonesia looks highly promising. She's threatened 400 pages of this story... I'd love to see it move that far. www.psychoteers.com

Mave -Kingdom Come creator
Mave's work is also more-traditional manga. Her tale of a popstar who walks away from his band to focus on Christ is off to a great start. www.kcome.net
